Rabbi Ruth Abusch-Magder is currently the Rabbi-in-Residence for Be'chol Lashon an organization promoting racial and ethic diversity in the Jewish community. She received her BA in history from Barnard College, her doctorate in Religious Studies from Yale University, and her rabbinical ordination from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion. Rabbi Abusch-Magder grew up in Canada, has lived in Germany and Israel and currently resides in California. A scholar of food history and culture, Rabbi Abusch-Magder is a strong believer in the power of food to bring people together. A frequent writer on Jewish subjects, Rabbi Abusch-Magder believes strongly that there is great value to learning from others and sharing in the adventures of deeply spiritual living.
